Match report
Høyd claimed a 2-1 victory over Moss in the First Division's regular season round 16 on Sunday. The hosts recovered from an early deficit to take all three points at home. And here's the thing — the match wasn't decided by dominance but by moments.
Moss struck first through M. Haheim-Elveseter in the ninth minute, catching the home side off-guard. Høyd responded with H. Vold Krohg's equaliser in the 37th before S. Mikkelsen restored their lead just before half-time. By then the visitors had already seen their momentum questioned.
The second half descended into chaos with two red cards in quick succession. M. Mulac and O. Jebali were both sent off for Moss in the 78th and 80th minutes respectively, leaving them to see out the game with ten men. P. Andersen picked up a booking earlier for the hosts in the 70th minute.
The statistics tell an interesting story. Moss enjoyed slightly more possession at 52 per cent and registered 133 attacks compared to Høyd's 129. But both teams managed just five shots on target, and the visitors wasted six attempts off target. To be fair, it was a match decided by clinical finishing rather than volume.
Høyd moved up to fifth place with 34 points from 21 games, while Moss dropped to 13th with 22 points. The hosts have now bounced back from their heavy 6-0 defeat to Stabæk and a string of mixed results. Moss's form remains precarious with 11 losses from 21 matches.
The game had everything — goals, cards, and a dramatic collapse for the visitors. Høyd put the game to bed early enough to secure the win, but the late drama provided its own entertainment. The hosts' resilience was on display after their recent struggles.
