Odd Extend Unbeaten Run with Comfortable Victory Over Osanæ
Odd secured a decisive 4-1 victory against Osanæ in the First Division's Regular Season round 16 on Saturday. The home side took control early and never looked back, moving to 33 points and remaining in sixth place. Osanæ, meanwhile, slipped further to 15th on 19 points after their 12th defeat of the campaign.
D. Soderberg opened the scoring in the ninth minute, giving Odd an early advantage that set the tone for the afternoon. H. Bonnesen added to the hosts' lead with an own goal in the 26th minute, effectively ending any hopes Osanæ might have had of a comeback. F. Tewelde made it three in quick succession by the 30th minute, capitalising on sustained pressure.
S. Bojadzic converted a penalty in the 31st minute to complete the scoring before half-time, while V. Rasmussen added a fifth goal in the 39th minute. The hosts kept up the pressure after the break, with M. Haga making his first appearance of the match in the 46th minute. Osanæ struggled to respond, and Odd's dominance was reflected in their shot accuracy.
Odd outshot Osanæ 8-5 on target, though both sides created similar opportunities from corners, with nine apiece. The hosts registered 104 attacks compared to Osanæ's 90, and their 52% possession figure told the story of control. Shots off target were higher for Odd at 13 to Osanæ's 7, suggesting the visitors found themselves under sustained pressure.
Substitutions came in quick succession after the hour mark, with Odd bringing on H. Geelmuyden and J. Vadstrup in the 67th and 68th minutes. L. Rossi and S. Bojadzic were withdrawn together in the 78th minute, while E. Iversen and S. Aas made late appearances for Odd. Yellow cards for S. Skjeldal and S. Brudvik marked the final minutes without altering the outcome.
The result leaves Odd nine points clear of Osanæ in the table, with the visitors finding themselves in the relegation zone. Odd's recent form has been mixed, but this victory extends an unbeaten run that began after their loss to Osanæ earlier this season. Osanæ's struggles continue, and the gap between the sides grows wider with each passing round.
