Sannes host Brøn in the First Division regular season on 22 August, losing 0-1 at the Eester Hus Arena. The visitors took all three points from a match that offered little excitement until late on. It was a result that keeps Brønmoving up the table while Sannes remain rooted in 11th place.
The first half passed without incident apart from two yellow cards. M. Sundberg picked up a booking for Sannes in the 33rd minute and A. Kryger followed for Brøn seven minutes later. Neither side created much, though the home side edged the attack count 124 to 131.
The second half brought a turning point in the 75th minute when S. T. Jonassen struck for Brøn. It was the only goal of the game and came after two substitutions on the hour mark — M. Lye and K. Haland for Sannes, K. Haland and M. Lye for Brøn. The visitors held on despite further bookings for E. Debes and L. Fajfric.
Statistics tell a curious story. Sannes had eight shots on target compared to Brøn's six, yet the away side took the win. Possession sat at 46 per cent for the hosts and 54 for the visitors. Corners went six to three in favour of Sannes, while goal kicks showed 8 to 14.
The result leaves Sannes on 23 points from 20 games, still in 11th place with seven wins and 11 defeats. Brøn move to 29 points, sitting in seventh with nine victories. The gap between them grows, and for Sannes it's another season that feels like it's slipping away.
