Flora Tallinn secured a 2-1 victory over Vaprus in the Meistriliiga's regular season on Saturday, moving into a stronger position in the table. The Estonian visitors took the lead through O. Pihela shortly before half-time, but Vaprus equalised through M. Kukkonen in the 29th minute. Flora regained their advantage with S. Viidas' goal in the 71st minute, and that proved decisive.
The match had its moments, and here's the thing about away performances — you often see the visitors start more cautiously. Flora controlled possession at 54 per cent and managed seven corners compared to Vaprus' single attempt. But possession alone doesn't win matches, and Vaprus kept themselves in contention despite being on the back foot for periods.
