Ancelotti Praises Mourinho After Real Madrid Visit

Carlo Ancelotti called in at Real Madrid's Valdebebas training ground on Wednesday in a dual capacity.

Ancelotti explained that he was in a dual role: as a national team manager, to see the Brazilian players [Éder Militão and Rodrygo] who are recovering from injury, and to return to a place where he spent a great deal of time and greet his former players. He described it as a very pleasant morning.

He noted that they had had a good relationship for a long time, exchanging ideas and messages. He expressed happiness that Ancelotti is at Real Madrid, a club he knows very well, and is convinced he will do an excellent job as a great coach.

Ancelotti also commented on the wider campaign ahead under Mourinho, stating that the new signings will contribute a great deal and that it is going to be a great season.

Describing Real Madrid as his home, family, and everything, he recalled having a wonderful time there and leaving with fantastic memories. He said he has gone from being a coach to a Real Madrid supporter and does not take his eyes off the television whenever Real Madrid play.

He added that they are assessing young players around the world and planning a team that can arrive at the 2030 World Cup with ambition, quality and the aim of competing with every side in the world, with upcoming friendlies to be used to get a closer look at that generation.
