Jiménez's late strike sinks Sheffield United
Raúl Jiménez scored in the 90th minute as Wolves won 1-0 at Bramall Lane, with Cooper and Wilder both lamenting a costly late lapse.
Raúl Jiménez came off the bench to score a 90th-minute winner as Wolverhampton Wanderers beat Sheffield United 1-0 at Bramall Lane, leaving the Blades 14th in the Championship and five points off the automatic promotion places.
Jiménez struck from close range after Tommy Doyle blazed wide and fell straight into the forward's path, and he swept it past goalkeeper Michael Cooper for his third goal of the season. He has scored 12 times for the club since arriving in September 2020.
Sheffield United had been denied what they felt was a clear penalty shortly after the restart, when Mark McGuinness's handball in the box went unpunished.
Manager Chris Wilder felt his team deserved more from the afternoon and pointed to a lapse in positioning as the difference between the sides.
