Celta's captain suffered a grade-I tear in his left thigh and will miss the Omonia Europa League clash plus LaLiga games against Racing Santander and Elche.

The captain went off injured deep into Sunday's 1-1 draw with Malaga, in LaLiga's fifth round. He had only just come on, in the 88th minute, and felt the problem the moment he struck the ball. With no substitutions left, he chose to play through it rather than leave Celta a man short.
Aspas will miss at least three matches: Wednesday's Europa League opener against Omonia, who sit second in the Cypriot championship on 24 points from 12 games, then LaLiga fixtures against Racing Santander on Saturday and Elche on 11 October. Racing, 10th in the table on seven points from five matches, have leaned on Giorgi Guliashvili and Asier Villalibre Molina, four goals apiece, and Andres Martin Garcia with three.
Between those last two fixtures falls the international break, extended this year to 15 days, which gives the extra time to recover before facing an Elche side badly in need of a win when Celta visit the Martinez Valero.
