Venezia's Busio faces month out with thigh injury
Venezia midfielder Gianluca Busio will miss the Lazio match and more after scans revealed a thigh muscle strain, with recovery time uncertain.
Venezia will be without Gianluca Busio for Lazio’s visit after scans confirmed a muscle injury in his right thigh.
The midfielder went off injured during the 11 September match against Fiorentina. A club statement said scans revealed a strain of the right biceps femoris, and that he has already begun rehabilitation under the medical staff's supervision.
Corriere dello Sport reports the outlook for Busio is not encouraging, with recovery time hard to pin down and Busio, born in 2002, at risk of missing more than a month. That timeline would keep the Italo-American out through the international break as well as the Lazio fixture.
