Barinov Faces Six-Month Layoff After Knee Surgery
CSKA doctor Eduard Bezuglov says the midfielder's recovery from ACL and MCL surgery in Munich should take around six to six and a half months.
CSKA Moscow doctor Eduard Bezuglov has given the first detailed timeline for Dmitri Barinov's recovery from the anterior cruciate and medial collateral ligament injury he picked up on 22 August, in the 5th round of the Alfa-Bank RPL fixture against Lokomotiv, which CSKA won 3-2.
"Dmitri Barinov underwent surgery in Munich, which went as planned. Three days after the operation he returned to Moscow and is currently undergoing rehabilitation with the first team. It is planned that the rehabilitation period will be around six to six and a half months," Bezuglov said.
Barinov, a defensive midfielder, joined CSKA in February 2026 and has scored once for the club. On Bezuglov's timeline, a return to full training would fall around March 2027.
