Gruda out of Germany squad with abdominal injury
Brighton midfielder Gruda, on loan at Leipzig, will miss Germany's games against Serbia and Greece after going off injured against Leverkusen on Sunday.
Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Gruda will miss Germany's next two fixtures after injuring his abdominal muscles, Voetbal International reported on Monday.
Gruda, on loan at Leipzig this season, went off after about half an hour of Sunday's 2-0 defeat by Bayer Leverkusen. Klopp had named him in the second of two groups in a 44-man squad for the four coming internationals. That group was due to face Serbia at home and Greece away, so Gruda was not in line to play against the Netherlands on Thursday in any case.
No replacement has been called up so far.
Gruda has been called up before without playing. That was around the time Brighton paid more than €30m to sign him from FSV Mainz 05, and he did not make his debut then either.
