Benfica Protests Refereeing After Porto Clasico Defeat
Benfica lost 3-1 to Porto and says it won't stay silent, blaming referee Miguel Nogueira after a bench clash involving Marco Silva and Bednarek.
The incident began when Samu and Bah tangled near the byline. Marco Silva, SL Benfica's coach, turned towards the Porto bench and said something to Bednarek.
SL Benfica lost the match 3-1 and, according to Record, have no intention of dropping the matter. The club feels hard done by referee Miguel Nogueira's handling of several flashpoints and plans to keep pressing the issue.
