Emily Fox signs new contract with Arsenal
USA defender Emily Fox has signed a new Arsenal deal, calling it an easy decision to stay, and is seven appearances short of 100 for the WSL club.
Arsenal defender Emily Fox has signed a new contract with the Women's Super League club.
Fox, 28, joined from North Carolina Courage in January 2024 and, before being nominated for the Ballon d'Or in 2025, has scored three goals in her time at the club.
The USA international told Sky Sports the decision was straightforward. "It was easy - I love the club," Fox said. "I'm being challenged in a competitive environment and it's my second home. A very easy decision to want to stay."
She said she wanted to become more consistent. "I've got a mindset to get better and more to prove," Fox said. "I'm always hungry as a player and chasing perfection. When I'm playing with the best players in the world, there are so many things I can learn."
Sky Sports’ Laura Hunter notes Arsenal wanted to tie Fox down, citing her as the league’s most consistent full-back since 2024.
At 93 appearances, Fox is seven short of 100 for the club.
