Partizan hit with partial stadium closure by UEFA
UEFA sanctioned Partizan over crowd trouble in the Getafe qualifier, closing part of its stadium and fining the club for racist behaviour, fireworks and lasers.
UEFA has handed Partizán a partial stadium closure for its Champions League qualifying tie against Getafe, along with a series of fines.
The sanctions relate to the second leg of the play-off round, played on 27 August at Partizán's own ground in Belgrade.
UEFA has ordered the closure of the 5,000-seat west stand for Partizán's next home fixture in Europe. That closure had been suspended following a similar incident involving the club's supporters in the past. A second partial closure, covering 15,000 seats across the west and south stands, has been imposed over racist behaviour from the crowd; this one is suspended for two years. Partizán has also been fined 30,000 euros in connection with that offence, plus 2,000 euros for the use of fireworks and 10,000 euros for laser pointers aimed at the pitch.
