Anders Laustrup Dreyer

Anders Dreyer 's move to Rubin Kazan in August 2021 produced one of the more unusual entries in Russian Premier League history. The stay was brief. In March 2022, with Russia's invasion of Ukraine underway, FIFA suspended his contract, a ruling that allowed him to leave the club.

He started out at Esbjerg fB, making his Danish Superliga debut in 2016, before Brighton & Hove Albion signed him in 2018. He never played for the first team there. FC Midtjylland brought him back to Denmark in 2020, and took him in again after Kazan. Anderlecht signed him in 2023.

San Diego FC brought him to Major League Soccer in January 2025 for a fee of around €5.5 million plus bonuses, and he scored the club's first-ever goal on his debut, a 2-0 win over LA Galaxy on 23 February 2025. He finished with 19 goals and seven assists in 34 games, and won the MLS Newcomer of the Year award, a place in the Best XI, and Player of the Month honours in June and August. He has since been picked for the MLS All-Star game in both 2025 and 2026, and across all competitions for the club he has scored 32 goals and added 11 assists in 66 appearances.

For Denmark, Dreyer made his senior debut in November 2021 and played at Euro 2024.
