About the player
Palavecino came through Platense's academy, joining as a child and working his way to the first team, where he made 101 appearances and scored eight goals, part of the squad that won the Primera B Metropolitana title in the 2017–18 season. That run earned him a move abroad, to Colombia's Deportivo Cali, where he spent two seasons and scored 16 goals in 60 matches.
His move to Mexican football began in 2024 on loan at Necaxa, where he made 36 appearances and scored eight goals before the club made the deal permanent. His second spell at Necaxa was shorter, 15 games and two goals, and in 2025 he was loaned out again, this time to Pachuca, though he featured just three times there.
He joined Cruz Azul for 2026, wearing the number 8 shirt, and the switch coincided with 25 appearances and seven goals. It was also the season Cruz Azul won the Clausura 2026 title and the Campeón de Campeones, giving Palavecino a place in a title-winning squad in his first year at the club.
