Antonio Prisco

Italian journalists covering Serie C gave Antonio Prisco a nickname before he had a trophy to his name: il metronomo silenzioso, the silent metronome. Benevento won Group C and went up to Serie B with Prisco playing 31 league matches and scoring twice. The same campaign brought the Serie C Supercoppa.

He is a product of the club's own academy. Three goals for the Primavera side in 2021/2022 preceded a move into the senior squad in January 2022, when he turned professional. What followed was the standard route out of a first team that had no room for him yet: a loan to Casertana in 2022/2023, then a season at Recanatese in Serie C Group B, where he made 25 appearances and scored once.

The return to Benevento in 2024/2025 was the turn. He held down a place in the side across 32 matches, without a goal, and the club reached the promotion play-offs. The following year it went up as champions.

Prisco plays as a defensive midfielder and is right-footed.

His international record is brief. He was called up by Italy at under-16 level and appeared at the Torneo dei Gironi in December 2019, coming off the bench in two matches: a 3-0 win over a Lega Pro selection and a 1-2 defeat. He has not played for the senior national side.
