What stands out in Fintelman's career so far is the distance between the routine of a goalkeeper's early years and the small number of appearances he has actually had to show for it. He came through the youth ranks at Vasco da Gama, where in 2021 he made 33 appearances for the Under-20 side, enough to earn a place in the first-team squad the following year. That step up, however, did not translate into playing time, and a loan to Bangu for the Rio de Janeiro state championship followed the same pattern: he stayed on the books without featuring in a single official match for the first team.

A permanent move to CSA at the end of 2022 offered another chance to establish himself, but 2023 went much the same way, with Fintelman unable to force his way into a settled run of games. The turning point came at the end of that year, when Vitória announced his signing. There, he has finally started matches in goal, appearing in both the Bahia state championship and the Brazilian league. Even so, his tally at senior level with the club has stayed modest — two matches, both played in 2025.

He has not been called up to any Brazil national team.
