About the player
Erick left Recife for Náutico's academy and made his senior breakthrough there before a move to Portugal took him to Braga, where he spent several seasons split between the first team and loan spells at Vitória and Gil Vicente. A loan back to Náutico followed before he returned to Brazil for good.
At Ceará the forward found his footing, helping the club to the Campeonato Pernambucano and lifting the Copa do Nordeste, results that marked the most productive stretch of his career so far. The move to São Paulo raised his profile further, and he added the Supercopa do Brasil to his collection of honours before returning to Vitória, this time in Brazil rather than Portugal.
