Lucas Arcanjo

Lucas Arcanjo learned the position at Galícia before Vitória's academy took him on, and the climb from youth football to the first team ran through years of development rather than a single breakthrough. His professional debut came in 2019, in the Série B, and since then the shirt has rarely gone to anyone else in Salvador.

By March 2025, Arcanjo had made 187 appearances for Vitória, the second-highest total by a goalkeeper in the club's history behind only Borges — a mark built one season at a time rather than through a single standout campaign. That consistency showed most clearly in 2023, when he played 36 of Vitória's 38 league matches as the club won the Série B title, and was named the competition's best goalkeeper. He had already been singled out as the division's top goalkeeper for April that year.

The following season brought the Campeonato Baiano title and recognition as the best goalkeeper of the first half of the Série A campaign. Arcanjo also holds the Série B record for consecutive matches without conceding, a run of 18 games — the kind of streak that defines a goalkeeper's reputation more than any single save. Before that spell of Série A recognition, he had been part of the side that won promotion from Série C to Série B in 2022, a campaign that reset Vitória's trajectory after a difficult period.

Left-footed and commanding at 1.89m, Arcanjo has built his career on stretches of near-imperviousness rather than isolated highlight moments, the kind of form that turns tight, low-scoring games in Vitória's favour.
