Seven goals in fifty matches for Potenza is a return most Serie C midfielders would take, and it was that spell in Basilicata that earned Antonis Siatounis a three-year contract at Benevento in the summer of 2026.
The left-footer came out of Panathinaikos, where he trained from 2011 to 2018. At sixteen he left Athens for Italy, joining Sampdoria and spending three seasons in the Primavera side.
Monza signed him in the summer of 2021. The senior breakthrough there amounted to two Serie B appearances in 2021/22, and by January 2023 he had dropped a division to Virtus Entella. Two seasons and forty matches in Serie C followed.
Potenza, from 2025, is where the numbers changed. Fifty appearances across two seasons, seven of them ending with his name on the scoresheet. The move to Benevento followed in the summer of 2026.
Born in Ilion, a western suburb of Athens, in August 2002, Siatounis has now spent longer in Italian football than Greek.
