About the player
Atalay Gökçe came through the youth ranks at Gençlerbirliği, joining the academy in 2014 before stepping up to the first team in 2020. His debut came in the Turkish Cup that season, and he signed his first professional contract in June 2022.
Gökçe went out on loan to Karaman FK, then playing in the 2. Lig, for the 2024/25 season. He finished the campaign having made just 10 appearances for the loan club.
He signed for Batman Petrolspor on a three-year deal running to 30 June 2028, with no transfer fee disclosed.
At youth international level, Gökçe was capped by Turkey's under-15 and under-16 sides, coming on as a substitute against Romania for the U15s and featuring against England at the St George's Park tournament with the U16s.
