Benjamin Acquah

Five goals in seventeen league games for Ebusua Dwarfs in the 2020–2021 season put Benjamin Acquah on the radar of clubs outside Ghana. Earlier he had taken the Man of the Match award in a victory over Inter Allies.

The move came in March 2021, a season-long loan to Helsingborgs IF in Sweden. He made 19 appearances in the Superettan that year and scored once, and was part of the squad that won promotion to the Allsvenskan through the play-offs. In January 2022 Helsingborg activated the buy option; the club did not disclose a fee. Acquah stayed until 2024, ending with 67 league appearances across the two divisions and eight goals. The club was relegated to the third tier in 2024.

Portugal followed in January 2025 — Portimonense S.C., on a contract running to June 2027. It did not take. Three appearances in Liga Portugal 2, one goal, and in September the two sides terminated the deal by mutual agreement.

On 16 September 2025 Acquah signed for Javor, again on terms until June 2027. As of mid-2026 he has 13 league appearances and two goals for the club.

An attacking midfielder by trade and a product of the Red Bull Ghana academy, Acquah has yet to play for the senior national team. He was named in Ghana's provisional squad for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers but did not make the final list.
