About the player
When Náutico looked at signing an Argentine attacker in June 2026, the name reaching head coach Hélio dos Anjos was one he already knew: Benjamín Borasi, who had played under him at Paysandu in 2024–2025. The deal was agreed that month, and CBF registration was completed on 23 July 2026. He took the number 24 shirt.
Borasi came through the academy at Sarmiento de Junín, where he began his professional career, and made his way to Brazil from there. The Paysandu spell in Pará remains the fullest stretch of work on his record: 39 matches, five goals and four assists.
The year 2024 also took him to São Luiz in Rio Grande do Sul, a shorter stay of ten matches, one goal and two assists. Early in 2025 he moved to Criciúma in Santa Catarina, playing 17 matches and scoring once.
He arrives at Náutico on loan from San Martín de Tucumán, the Argentine club that holds his registration. An attacking midfielder and winger by trade, he has been used in the first team since arriving, featuring in Série B of the Brazilian championship.
