About the player
Boubacar Rafael Neto Hanne's career began in the academy of Wolverhampton Wanderers, which he joined in July 2017 on a two-year contract. He never made a first-team appearance for Wolves, spending the entire spell out on loan, including a single game for Spanish side Estudiantes Murcia.
In the summer of 2020 he left Wolverhampton on a free transfer and signed a three-year deal with Gil Vicente. Over three years at Gil Vicente he made 21 appearances and scored once.
He signed for Romania's Argeș Pitești as a free agent in January 2023, then returned to Portugal that July to join Vilaverdense, before moving on to Torreense for the 2024/2025 season. In February 2025 he took his career to Qatar, signing for Mesaimeer SC. Every move from 2020 onward came without a transfer fee, on free-agent terms.
Hanne's path led back to Bulgaria in 2026. He signed for Spartak Varna on 1 July 2026. By August 2026 he had made two league appearances for the club without registering a goal or an assist, and had picked up no disciplinary cautions in the Bulgarian First League so far.
