Bayron Andrés Oyarzo Muñoz

Puerto Montt gave Bayron Oyarzo his footballing start, and it was Barnechea that gave him his career. He spent six seasons there, from 2014 to 2019, and turned into a regular presence in the side, racking up over a hundred appearances and returning double figures in goals along the way. It was there, too, that he collected his one piece of silverware, part of the squad that won the Chilean second division in 2016-17.

The move to Curicó Unido in 2020 raised his profile further. He stayed two seasons and became enough of a fixture that Universidad de Chile made an approach to sign him in 2022 — an offer he turned down, choosing to stay put. That same year at Curicó brought an uglier episode: after a match against Colo-Colo, he was attacked by two unidentified men, an incident that drew attention well beyond the result.

Ñublense came next, and it was there that Oyarzo reached the biggest stages of his career so far, featuring in the Copa Libertadores in both 2023 and 2025 as well as the Copa Sudamericana in 2023. It was also at Ñublense, in May 2024, that he found himself at the centre of a different kind of storm: struck in the face by an object thrown from the stands during a match against Universidad de Chile, he responded afterwards with pointed criticism of the fans involved on social media.

He left Ñublense after three seasons there and signed for Unión La Calera in December 2025. A full international call-up has so far eluded him — he has yet to make an appearance for the Chile national team.
