Bruno Zuculini

Bruno Zuculini came through the Racing Club academy and made his first-team debut at just 16, in February 2010. Over his first spell at the club he made 92 appearances and scored 10 goals before a £3 million move to Manchester City in August 2014.

That transfer never produced a single competitive appearance for City's first team. Instead, Zuculini spent the following years on loan across four countries — Valencia, Córdoba, Middlesbrough, AEK Athens and Rayo Vallecano — without settling anywhere long enough to establish himself. The spell at Córdoba ended in relegation from La Liga, and the Spanish paper Marca named him in their "worst team of the season". At AEK Athens, a serious metatarsal fracture picked up in training in February 2016 required surgery and ruled him out for around three months, including the Greek Cup final.

A move to Hellas Verona in 2017 gave him a settled run in Italy before he returned home to Argentina in 2018, joining River Plate. That spell was the most productive of his career: 85 matches, four goals, and a run of silverware that included the Copa Libertadores in 2018, the Argentine Supercup the same year, and the Recopa Sudamericana in 2019, alongside a Libertadores final appearance.

In January 2024, Zuculini returned to Racing Club as a free agent. Back at the club where he started, he has added a Recopa Sudamericana to his collection and made 66 appearances, scoring four goals. His only international experience came at under-20 level with Argentina, where he played eight matches and scored twice in 2011.
