About the player
Baba Salifu Apiiga started his senior career in Ghana, where Accra Lions gave him a regular place in the Ghana Premier League. Over three seasons there he made 62 appearances at centre-back and added two goals, numbers that point to a defender trusted with a starting shirt rather than one fighting for minutes off the bench.
In September 2025 that spell ended with a move to Sweden, where IF Brommapojkarna signed him into the Allsvenskan. It is the kind of transfer that resets a career: a defender who had built his reputation entirely in Ghanaian football now has to do it again in a different league, climate and style of play.
