Benjamin Nunez

Benjamín Núñez arrives at Nacional from Uruguay's second tier, where his football began in earnest. He spent his early career at Club Oriental, a spell running from 2022 to 2026, before completing a move to Nacional in July 2026 on a contract running through December 2028.

Born in Dolores, Núñez built his game at Oriental over four seasons in the Segunda División, the level where much of Uruguayan football's next generation is tested before a step up. The move to Nacional represents that step: a switch from a provincial club to one of the country's most decorated institutions, and a vote of confidence reflected in a contract that runs more than two years beyond the transfer itself.

There is, for now, no record of Núñez having represented Uruguay at any level, nor of individual honours attached to his name.
