About the player
Bryan Paul Hernández Porozo has built his career largely in Ecuador's second tier of clubs, moving through nine sides since making his debut for Norte América in 2014, when he was still a teenager. His most productive stretch there came quickly: 20 appearances and a goal before he had turned 17, a start that opened the door to spells at Aucas and Universidad Católica.
The defender's move to América de Quito in 2019 gave him his heaviest workload to date, 24 matches and a goal, and led to his transfer to LDU Quito in January 2020, reported as a deal covering four seasons, though the fee involved was never disclosed. He did not make an appearance for LDU before joining Delfín SC the same year.
His longest settled run came at Macará across 2021 and 2022, where he made 40 appearances, the most he has managed at any single club. Spells at Aampetra, Técnico Universitario and El Nacional followed, the last of these bringing him 19 matches in 2025 before he returned to Delfín SC on 30 January 2026.
Hernández Porozo has also worn Ecuador's colours at under-23 level, representing the national team at the 2019 Pan American Games, where he featured in three matches. He now returns to Delfín SC aiming to add to the 13 appearances he has already made for the club this year, on top of the two he played during his first, brief stint there in 2020.
