Jose Alves da Silva Neto

Jose Alves da Silva Neto's route to Bulgarian football began far from any first team. In his native Espírito Santo he played for a string of lower-division Brazilian clubs, and to make ends meet while the wages from those sides went unpaid, he worked as a delivery driver for an app, according to Globo Esporte.

He first drew notice as a teenager at Serra, where he featured under the nickname Buá in the 2020 edition of the Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior, as reported by Torcedores.com.

The move to Europe came in 2023, when he joined Dobrudzha 1919 in Bulgaria's second tier. The transfer was driven less by ambition than by necessity — a search for wages that actually arrived on time and basic social security, something his career in Brazil had not guaranteed. At Dobrudzha he became a regular contributor and was credited with important goals for the side.

In January 2025 he moved on to Sportist Svoge, before joining Spartak Varna in the summer of 2026, shortly after that club's promotion to Bulgaria's top flight. He wasted little time featuring for his new side, coming on as a substitute in matches against Levski Sofia and Septemvri Sofia.

There is no record of him being called up by Brazil or Bulgaria at any level.
