About the player
Chen Binbin broke into the first team of Shanghai Port in 2017 and went on to make more than sixty appearances for the club over the following years. He was part of the squad that won the Chinese Super League title in 2018, and the same year he made his debut for the China national team, against Myanmar. He also featured regularly for the national under-23 side between 2018 and 2020.
A loan spell took him to Japan in 2022, where he played for FC Imabari in the J3 League, before he returned to Shanghai Port at the end of that year. He left the club in February 2025 for Nantong Zhiyun in China League One, where he added four goals in 28 appearances playing as a left winger.
His most recent move came in February 2026, when he joined Liaoning Tieren, formerly known as Shenyang Urban, on a free transfer. The club had just secured promotion to the Chinese Super League for the 2026 season, giving Chen a return to the top flight after his spell in the second tier.
