David Josué Colmán Escobar

Josué Colmán came through the youth ranks at Cerro Porteño and made his mark early, helping the club to the Paraguayan championship in 2017 before a second title followed in 2020, this time after a loan spell back at the club he had already left once. In between, Orlando City paid €2.55 million to take him to Major League Soccer in January 2018, a fee that underlined how highly the midfielder was rated outside Paraguay at the time.

After returning to Cerro Porteño and lifting the Apertura, Colmán moved on again in January 2021, this time as a free agent, joining Guaraní. The following years took him further afield still: Mazatlán in Mexico in 2022, then Querétaro in 2024, before a move to Argentina's Newell's Old Boys in August 2025. That spell proved short-lived, with the contract terminated in December 2025, and Colmán returned to Paraguay in January 2026 to sign for Nacional.

On the international stage, Colmán debuted for Paraguay on 24 March 2022 against Ecuador. He was later included in the squad for the 2024 Copa América and represented his country at the Paris Olympics that same year, though his appearances for the senior national team have remained limited, with two caps recorded as of March 2026.
