About the player
Daniil Frolkin came through the youth system at Rostov, the club of his home city, playing in the national youth league from 2018 to 2021. The step into senior football came at Chornomorets Novorossiysk, where he made his competitive debut on 17 October 2021 against Dynamo Stavropol, a match that finished 1-1. He spent two seasons with the club in the Second League and, after promotion, two more in the First League, staying until the move to Voronezh in 2025.
His first season at Fakel ended with the club winning promotion to the Russian Premier League. Frolkin's own top-flight debut followed on 25 July 2026, away to Dynamo Makhachkala; his side lost 1-2.
In January 2024, while he was still at Chornomorets, it was reported that the Russia national team's goalkeeping coach had been watching his performances. No call-up followed, and Frolkin has yet to play for Russia at senior, under-21 or youth level.
