David Celic

David Ćelić's route to Sirius ran through IK Sirius's crosstown rivals. Raised in the FoC Farsta academy in Stockholm, the goalkeeper joined Djurgårdens IF at nine years old and stayed in the club's system before signing his first professional contract there in July 2021. A loan spell at Karlbergs BK followed in 2022, giving him regular senior football away from the Djurgården first team.

In February 2023 he moved to Jönköpings Södra IF on a three-year deal, but the arrangement did not last: the contract was terminated by mutual consent less than a year later, in January 2024. Within weeks he had a new club. On 21 February 2024, Ćelić joined IK Sirius as a free agent, signing through December 2027 — a deal later extended to the summer of 2031.

He spent the 2025 season out on loan at Gefle IF, arranged through a cooperation agreement between the two clubs, and made two appearances there. He returned to Sirius for 2026 and has established himself as the club's first-choice goalkeeper.

Ćelić holds dual Swedish and Croatian citizenship. He has been called up to Sweden's youth setups, featuring in the U17 squad in September 2020 and the U21 squad in September 2023, though he remained an unused substitute on both occasions and has yet to make his senior international debut.
