About the player
Kenneth Viktor Isak Bjerkebo grew up in Stoby, near Hässleholm, and started out at hometown club Hässleholms IF before Malmö FF picked him up into their academy at the age of 13. He spent six years there, scored four goals in the UEFA Youth League, and in 2019 was named best forward of the U19 Allsvenskan, picking up the Unicoachforward award the same year his age group won the Swedish P16 title.
His route into senior football was less straightforward. He signed for Kalmar FF as a free agent in the summer of 2022 but managed only 12 appearances and a single goal for the first team, and in June 2023 was loaned out to Skövde AIK, where he scored 5 goals in 18 matches before a spell out injured between April and May that year. A move to Varbergs BoIS in January 2024 on a three-year deal brought only 3 games and 2 goals before he moved on again, joining IK Sirius in March 2025.
It is at Sirius that the goals have started to add up. By June 2026, Bjerkebo had scored 16 times in 39 appearances for the club, and this season he sits second in the Allsvenskan scoring charts with 13 goals, behind only Robert Ure on 15. He has represented Sweden at under-17 level, with seven caps and a goal on his debut in May 2019, but has not been called up to the senior national side.
