About the player
The paperwork came first. In July 2025 Dominik Celija put his name to his first professional contract at Istra 1961, a deal running until 2028.
He joined Istra's under-19 side for the 2020/21 season.
The 2025/26 season brought the first involvement with the first team in the Croatian HNL. The figures are small and easily stated. Two appearances, both of them from the bench, 28 minutes on the pitch in total, no goals and no assists. That is the whole of his senior record to date.
He is right-footed and wears the number 27 at Istra. No individual awards, records or team honours appear against his name so far.
What comes next depends on minutes rather than paperwork: the substitute appearances of 2025/26 are the only senior football he has behind him.
