About the player
Edmund Addo has spent his career moving between leagues that rarely feature on the same map: Ghana, Slovakia, Moldova, then Serbia. Signed by Sheriff Tiraspol in the summer of 2021 for a fee of around €50,000, he won the Moldovan league and the Moldovan Cup in 2021/22, playing 33 matches in all competitions, 18 of them in the league.
He came out of the academy at Mighty Cosmos in Ghana. In August 2018, aged 18, he joined Senica in Slovakia, where he stayed three seasons and made 47 appearances with two goals.
Serbia followed. He signed for Spartak Subotica as a free agent in January 2023 and played 16 matches, then joined Red Star Belgrade that summer. Instead he has played on loan: 15 matches for Radnički Niš in 2023/24, and from July 2024 at OFK Beograd, where he made 26 SuperLiga appearances in 2024/25 and wears number 3.
His international debut came on 11 November 2021, in a World Cup qualifier against Ethiopia, and he was named in Ghana's squad for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations. By July 2023 he had 10 caps and no goals.
