Edison Alexander Medina Caicedo built his career on the right side of defence in Ecuadorian football, and the clearest sign of where he stands in a side came at Imbabura in 2024: 28 league appearances, with a goal and two assists mixed into the defensive work.
He arrived there by way of Alianza de Guano and Olmedo before joining Imbabura in January 2024. That 2024 season also included a red card. He stayed on for a single Serie B appearance in 2025 before leaving.
