Eduardo Bories

Eduardo Bories was a name from the lower tiers of Ecuadorian football, working his way up through Segunda Categoría before Independiente del Valle signed him. What stands out in his file is a single save: in the promotion final against Imbabura SC, playing for Libertad de Loja, Bories stopped a decisive penalty and sent his side up into Serie B.

Born in Valencia, Venezuela, Bories built his early game in the academies of Clan Juvenil and El Nacional before moving to Ecuador. He joined América de Quito's ranks at 17, going out on loan to Chivos in 2019 and staying registered with América through the 2019-2020 seasons. The step that mattered came in 2021, when he signed for Libertad de Loja and started playing in Segunda Categoría.

His path since has moved between clubs rather than settling. A short stint at Deportivo Cuenca in 2023 brought just three appearances. He returned to Libertad de Loja in 2024, this time establishing himself as the club's first-choice goalkeeper in Serie A.

In June 2025, Independiente del Valle confirmed his signing from Libertad de Loja on a three-and-a-half-year contract, with the transfer fee undisclosed. Bories has since been assigned the number 12 shirt at his new club, where he arrives with Ecuadorian nationalisation alongside his Venezuelan roots.
