Ewerton Ferreira da Silva was named man of the match in the final that made Barra champions of Santa Catarina in 2026.
The route there ran through the lower reaches of Brazilian football. Ewerton came up through América de Natal, where he was part of the squad from at least 2019, and spent much of 2021 and 2022 out on loan — first at CRB in Alagoas, then at Confiança in Sergipe. In October 2022 he joined Barra, in Santa Catarina, initially on loan; in December 2023 he signed for the club outright as a free agent.
In 2025 Ewerton was part of the side that won the Campeonato Brasileiro da Série D, the final against Santa Cruz finishing goalless.
Académico de Viseu signed him on 23 July 2026, on loan from Barra with an option to buy. He took the number 98 shirt.
The opening run in Portugal brought three appearances and no clean sheets: a 2-2 draw with Benfica, a 1-0 defeat to Santa Clara, and another 2-2, against Marítimo. No Brazil call-up, at any level, has been recorded.
