Francisco Solé

Argentinos Juniors brought Francisco Solé through its academy from 2010, and the club once turned down interest from San Lorenzo to keep him. He never made a first-team appearance in Buenos Aires, though, and the path from there ran through loans and lower divisions rather than a breakthrough at home. A loan spell at Brown de Adrogué gave him his first senior minutes, and the following years took him through Sportivo Italiano and Barracas Central, with further loans to Flandria and Defensores de Belgrano along the way. A brief return to Argentina with Deportivo Almagro in 2023 preceded the move that changed the direction of his career: in January 2024 he signed for UCV in Venezuela as a free agent.

At UCV, wearing number 5, Solé has become a regular fixture, taking his appearances for the club past seventy across all competitions. He has continued contributing goals from midfield rather than settling into a purely defensive role. His clearest mark on the club's history came in continental competition: in the 2026 Copa Libertadores he scored against Paraguay's Libertad, and in the Copa Sudamericana he found the net twice against Brazilian side Santos, striking in the 22nd and 29th minutes of a match UCV went on to lose 4-1.

His international experience is limited to a single appearance for Argentina's under-20 side in 2016, in which he did not score. It stands as a brief chapter next to the longer story of a player who worked his way through Argentina's lower and provincial divisions before finding a settled role abroad.
