About the player
Torsiello's first competitive minutes for SV Darmstadt 98 came in the DFB-Pokal on 1 August 2022, in a 3–0 win over FC Ingolstadt 04. A month later, on 4 September, he made his 2. Bundesliga debut against Arminia Bielefeld, and in December of that year he signed his first professional contract with the club.
The route there had been long. Born in Darmstadt and of Italian descent, he started out at SV 1910 Weiterstadt and SC Viktoria Griesheim before 1. FSV Mainz 05 took him on in 2013. He was eleven when he moved to the Darmstadt academy in 2016, and he stayed until 2023.
Senior football arrived in small doses. Between July 2022 and January 2025 he made only a handful of official appearances for the Darmstadt first team, and in January 2025 he was loaned to SpVgg Unterhaching for the rest of the season — 17 matches. In the summer of 2025 he joined Alemannia Aachen on loan, an arrangement since extended through 2026–27. By May 2026 he had eight 3. Liga appearances for the club, with one assist and no goals.
His record with Germany's youth sides is short but pointed. Six caps at U18 level across 2022 and 2023 were followed by a single U19 appearance in May 2024, against Denmark, in which he scored on debut. He has one U20 cap, also from 2024, and also scored in it. He has not been called up by the U21s.
