About the player
A centre-back who has worn Ecuador's shirt at two World Cups, Félix Torres arrived at Internacional in January 2026 on loan from Corinthians, with the Brazilian club setting a buy-out option of four million euros for the end of the season.
The route there ran through four countries. Torres turned professional in 2016 with LDU Portoviejo, playing 25 matches in his first season, then moved to Barcelona SC of Guayaquil in 2017 — first on loan, later on a permanent deal. He made 44 appearances for the Guayaquil side and scored four goals.
Corinthians paid around 6.5 million US dollars to bring him to Brazil in January 2024. He collected two trophies there in 2025: the São Paulo state championship and the Copa do Brasil.
The international record is the fuller part of his career. Torres has 49 caps for Ecuador and five goals, and he was part of the squads at the World Cups of 2022 and 2026.
