About the player
Guillermo Marín, known as 'Memo', made his professional debut for Deportivo Anzoátegui against Metropolitanos FC in February 2018, aged just 16. He stayed at the club until 2019, making 25 appearances and scoring twice before moving on to Deportivo La Guaira.
At La Guaira, Marín made his Copa Libertadores debut against Real Garcilaso. He was part of the squad that won the Venezuelan Primera División title in 2020.
A loan spell took him to Aragua FC in July 2022, before he returned to Deportivo La Guaira at the start of 2023. He later moved to Academia Anzoátegui in July 2024, where he now plays in the Venezuelan Segunda División.
Marín has also featured for Venezuela's under-20 side, scoring in a friendly against Cuba U20 in December 2019.
