About the player
Gabriel Lacerda came through Palmeiras' youth ranks before making his first-team debut in August 2020.
At Ceará he became a regular in defence, making 66 appearances in Brazil's Série A and scoring four goals. He lifted the Copa do Nordeste twice with the club, in 2020 and 2023, though 2023 also brought relegation to Série B.
In between, Lacerda spent a season away from Brazilian football altogether. Sydney FC took him on loan in September 2023, and he made 24 appearances in the A-League before returning to Ceará the following June. The loan spell ended with a trophy: Sydney won the Australia Cup in 2023, giving the defender a title on the other side of the world before he came back to finish his contract in the Northeast.
Lacerda joined Londrina in December 2025, initially on terms that took effect at the turn of the year, signing through the end of the 2026 season. He has settled into the side's Série B campaign, appearing 16 times and scoring once, with a further appearance and a goal in the Campeonato Paranaense.
