About the player
A goalkeeper who came through Juventus's youth setup between 2011 and 2015, Gianmarco Vannucchi left Turin. In 2012/13 he was part of the Juventus Primavera side that won the Scudetto Primavera and the Primavera Supercoppa.
Vannucchi built his senior career in Serie C and the lower Italian divisions.
That came at Taranto. Across 2022/23 and 2023/24 he was the club's first-choice keeper, playing 71 Serie C matches in total — 33 in the first season and 38 in the second. Clean sheets were scarce: one in 2022/23, none recorded the following season. His disciplinary record from those years includes red cards.
In the summer of 2024 he joined Ternana, where he made 35 Serie C appearances in 2024/25 and picked up a red card.
He signed for Benevento in the summer of 2025 and took the number 26 shirt. By May 2026 he had played 36 matches for the club in Serie C, a season in which he was sent off three times.
Vannucchi has never been called up by Italy at any level, including the U19, U20 and U21 sides.
