About the player
Sami Gökhan Altıparmak came through Genclerbirligi's academy in Ankara, joining the setup as a teenager before signing his first professional contract in February 2020. He stayed with the club through 2026, though not without interruption: a loan spell at third-tier side Hacettepe 1945 in the 2023–24 season produced three goals in three appearances.
Altıparmak's path since has been shaped by loans rather than a settled first-team role. His time at Genclerbirligi ended in July 2026, when the two sides parted ways by mutual agreement, closing a spell that had run, with breaks, since his youth days at the club.
International recognition has so far stopped short of the senior side. Altıparmak received call-ups to Turkey's under-21 squad but did not make an appearance for that team, and there is no record of him featuring for the senior national side.
A forward by trade and right-footed, Altıparmak's career to date has been defined less by a single breakthrough moment than by the search for a permanent foothold.
