About the player
He had joined Pianese as a free agent in July 2023 and produced that return in Serie C in 2024–25. On 29 July 2025 Benevento signed him from Pianese for a reported fee of around €500,000, on a contract running to 30 June 2028. In his first season with the club he played 27 Serie C matches and scored 10 goals, and Benevento went up to Serie B.
Mignani began in the Siena youth system before moving to Fiorentina 's Primavera, where he won the Coppa Italia Primavera in 2019–20. His senior career opened back at Siena in Serie D in 2020–21: 27 appearances, three goals.
Then came a stretch of short stays. He joined Aquila Montevarchi in Serie C in July 2021 but spent the season out on loan, seven matches at Athletic Carpi and nine, with a goal, at Lornano Badesse . Poggibonsi took him in July 2022 and used him twelve times for a single goal; by December he had moved again, to Orvietana , where the scoring finally started to come — six goals in 19 matches.
