About the player
Gustavo Cascardo de Assis made his first-team debut with Portuguesa in 2015 before Athletico Paranaense signed him that September on a free transfer. He waited two years for his senior bow at the Paraná club, going on to make 29 appearances between 2016 and 2018. His time at Athletico Paranaense yielded the one title of note on his record: the 2018 Campeonato Paranaense.
Cascardo moved to Bulgaria in 2023, joining Beroe as a free agent. He made 34 appearances there without scoring. In February 2024 he signed for Arda Kardzhali, also on a free transfer, putting pen to a contract running to June 2026.
