About the player
Ignacio Abraham was born in Arroyito, in Argentina's Córdoba province. Although Argentine by birth, he has Syrian roots and turned out for the Syrian national team.
He started out with Juventud Unida, moving up from the youth ranks to the first team in January 2019.
January 2025 brought a move to Banfield.
On the international stage, Abraham was called up by Syria for the King's Cup in Thailand in October 2024. He came off the bench in the 87th minute of the semi-final win over Tajikistan, then started the final against Thailand, where he picked up a yellow card in a 2-1 defeat. He has since made three appearances for Syria, providing one assist.
